my quest for a fashionable camera bag

On 31, Oct 2011 | No Comments | In Design Love, Photography, Shopping | By Molly

You really don’t hear “stylish” and “camera bag” in the same sentence too often and I can’t understand why. There are infinite options for beautiful laptop bags and iphone covers, so why not camera bags? After all, cameras have been around far longer and millions of people have them. I’ve recently been on a quest to find a good bag for my own Canon DSLR and all its accessories and have had more trouble than I thought I would. Some companies do make nice ones, but it’s taken a lot of research for me to find them. So far I’ve narrowed my search to the three bags above.

Have any of you come across nice camera bags? I’d love to hear your thoughts and recommendations!

1. “The Brooklyn” by ONA, $309
2. “The Cameron Hobo” by Dre Hartmann, $200
3. “Kelly Boy Bag” in brown by Kelly Moore, $199

i recently got a cursive typewriter (photos pending!) which has prompted me to learn a lot more about the fantastic machines and their  countless cool features and styles. i love these wonderful photographs of famous authors and songwriters at their typewriters:

Ragnar Axelsson & His Greenland

Thanks to a recent article in the New York Times, I have become enthralled by the stunning arctic photography of Icelander Ragnar Axelsson. It’s no secret that I’ve long been a fan of Iceland, Greenland and Norway, but these photos capture the beautiful yet difficult side of the arctic better than any I’ve seen before.

Here is another NYTimes slideshow of Axelsson’s work, as well as his personal website, complete with photos from Iceland, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Siberia.
